About Coflyt

Made by pilots, for pilots

Coflyt didn't start as a software idea. It started with two airplanes — a partnership-owned Cherokee and a Bonanza with compliance gaps its owner didn't know he had — and two owners who figured every pilot deserved better than a binder and a group text.

It started with two airplanes

Before Coflyt was a company, it was two owners hitting the same wall from different sides.

Eric's 1963 Piper Cherokee

Eric Hill bought his Cherokee in a three-person partnership — and quickly found there was no good way to run one. Scheduling, logging maintenance, splitting expenses, tracking required inspections across three owners: it all lived in spreadsheets and text threads. Nothing on the market fit, so Eric started building the software his partnership needed.

Tal's 1972 Beechcraft Bonanza F33A

Tal Clark had just realized the ownership dream when a flight review with an instructor turned up compliance gaps he didn't know existed — including an overdue transponder check. He'd done everything right as a pilot and still fallen behind as an owner, because nothing was tracking the Part 91 requirements for him.

The two knew each other through Mississippi State University. On one of their usual conversations about flying, they realized the tool Eric was building for his partnership was exactly what owners like Tal needed too — and what most of general aviation was missing.

Launched at an AOPA Fly-In

The Coflyt app launched publicly at the AOPA Fly-In in Tullahoma, Tennessee — in front of the pilots it was built for.

TODAY

Owners, partnerships, clubs, and schools

Coflyt now runs maintenance tracking, scheduling, and billing for individual owners, partnerships, flying clubs, and flight schools — on iPhone, Android, and the web.

The mission

#PilotPeaceofMind

Everything Coflyt does traces back to those two airplanes. Owners shouldn't discover a compliance gap at a flight review. Partners shouldn't dread the money conversation. The person who runs the club shouldn't be the one who burns out.

So Coflyt tracks what's due before it's due, keeps the logbooks that follow the airplane, and settles who owes what without anyone having to ask. Intelligent aircraft ownership — so the time you spend on your airplane is spent flying it.

Built by the people who use it

Coflyt is still built the way it started — by pilots and owners solving their own problems first, then shipping the fix to everyone else. When you write in with a question, you're talking to people who preflight the same way you do.
