One schedule everyone sees — and no one can break
Members book from their phone or the web and see the same live calendar. A reservation that overlaps an existing one can't be saved — the conflict is caught at booking time, not discovered on the ramp with two pilots and one airplane.
Maintenance holds its own time
Annual scheduled for April? Put a maintenance block on the calendar and the aircraft is unavailable for those dates — no one books through it. And when a grounding squawk is filed, new bookings stop immediately and members with affected reservations are notified, so nobody drives to a plane that can't fly.
Club rules, enforced by software instead of a volunteer
Set the policy once and stop policing it. Require a minimum balance to book, cap how many future reservations each member can hold, control how far ahead bookings open, require a stored payment method, and charge late-cancellation fees — all enforced at the moment of booking, the same for everyone.
Fees and charges post straight to member balances, so the rules have consequences without anyone sending an awkward email.

Every member can subscribe to the aircraft's iCal feed, so reservations show up in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook next to the rest of their life. A calendar that knows the airplane
