Shared calendar

One schedule everyone sees — and no one can break

Members book from their phone or the web and see the same live calendar. A reservation that overlaps an existing one can't be saved — the conflict is caught at booking time, not discovered on the ramp with two pilots and one airplane.

Maintenance blocks

Maintenance holds its own time

Annual scheduled for April? Put a maintenance block on the calendar and the aircraft is unavailable for those dates — no one books through it. And when a grounding squawk is filed, new bookings stop immediately and members with affected reservations are notified, so nobody drives to a plane that can't fly.

Booking rules

Club rules, enforced by software instead of a volunteer

Set the policy once and stop policing it. Require a minimum balance to book, cap how many future reservations each member can hold, control how far ahead bookings open, require a stored payment method, and charge late-cancellation fees — all enforced at the moment of booking, the same for everyone.

Fees and charges post straight to member balances, so the rules have consequences without anyone sending an awkward email.

The schedule lives where members already look

Every member can subscribe to the aircraft's iCal feed, so reservations show up in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook next to the rest of their life. A public calendar page shows availability to anyone you share the link with — prospective members can see the plane is actually available before they ever sign up.

A calendar that knows the airplane

Generic scheduling tools see a resource with time slots. Coflyt sees an aircraft — its maintenance state, its squawks, and every member's balance.

  • Grounded means grounded. A grounding squawk blocks new bookings the moment it's filed.
  • Rules read the ledger. Minimum-balance rules check real member balances — not a number someone typed into a wiki.
  • Maintenance blocks come from maintenance. The annual on the due list becomes held time on the calendar.
  • No-shows cost something. Late-cancel fees post to the member's balance automatically.

Scheduling questions

What actually prevents double bookings?

Every reservation is checked against every existing reservation and maintenance block on that aircraft before it can be saved. Overlaps simply can't happen — there's no honor system to enforce.

Can members keep using their own calendar apps?

Yes. Every member can subscribe to an iCal feed in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook, and a public calendar page shows availability to anyone you share it with — no login required.

Can we limit how much members book?

Yes — booking rules are enforced automatically: a minimum balance to book, a cap on future reservations per member, how far ahead bookings open, a stored payment method requirement, and late-cancellation fees.
